Abstract
Communication is done by using the media, one of which is online media. Instagram is a strategic medium to use with 99.1 million users in Indonesia. PT Kilang Pertamina Refinery Unit III Palembang is one of the companies that uses Instagram as a medium to communicate with staff and the general public. Instagram is used optimally as a promotional medium, information medium, communication tool, and to shape the company image. Production content at Instagram has three steps: pre-production, production, and post-production. Designers create graphic content for social media platforms such as Instagram based on their imagination and creative ideas. The process of producing Instagram social media content has three obstacles, namely mechanical, semantic, and non-technical. Division communication relation have their own solutions to solve every obstacle.
