Abstract

Interpretation media is a form of deep and objective understanding of a subject or dynamics that occur which will be transformed to the audience to achieve certain goals. In the media that will be designed, the resources that will be displayed are dead forest, lakes, new craters, cliffs and hot water therapy soaking pools. There are several objectives carried out to provide benefits for visitors and managers. The research objectives of this final project are: (1) inventory of resources and interpretation media located in the tourist area of Mount Papandayan Natural Tourism Park, (2) identifying the most suitable interpretation media based on the interests of respondents and managers who are in the tourist area of Gunung Nature Tourism Park. Papandayan, (3) develop a media interpretation design with output data in the form of audio-visual in the form of promotional videos and brochures. The method used is field observations and interviews, distributing questionnaires to respondents and managers. There are 5 types of resources in the Mount Papandayan Natural Tourism Park consisting of flora, fauna, landscapes, abiotic components and artificial resources. The results of the tourist demand data show that the most popular audio-visual media data, the form of content displayed is a video with historical material about Papandayan.
