Abstract

Radio is one of the media that plays an important role in conveying information to the public, both information in the form of news and entertainment. The need for actual information and the increasingly rapid development of radio makes various radio stations have to work harder to grab the attention of listeners through its broadcast programs including the Radio Serang Gawe. This study aims to know the
production process of regional news broadcast programs on Radio Serang Gawe. The data in this study are divided into two parts namely primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observation and documentation. The results show that in Radio Serang Gawe the local news production process is carried out in several stages namely pre-production, production and post�production. In the pre-production stage, the activities carried out by Radio Serang Gawe are planning. The production stage consists of broadcasting and news coverage. Then the post-production stage is evaluating
and uploading news content. Suggestions that can be given are the lack of communication with the informants so that it often causes miscommunication, it would be better if the assistant producer made sure that the interviewees were willing to be interviewed and if the sources had been replaced, the production team of Radio Serang Gawe should pay more attention to Instagram social media content such as photos of sources that found on the poster of the talk show news
