Abstract

SULAISA DIFA RISKAMA. J3A117188. 2020. The Role MC and Protocoler in Inauguration of Structural and Functional Officials in Secretariat General DPR RI. Supervised by ERNA ERNAWATI.

MC has the role of organizing and hosting the program during the event. MC is part of the protocol activities which are the rules that must be applied in government activities or event. MC’s should have good public speaking skills so that the purpose of the message to be conveyed to the public is able to be understood and well received.The formulation of problem being studied is about protocol, the role of MC’s and protocoler’s, the level of audience satisfaction with the performance of MC’s and protocoler’s, as well as the obstacles and solutions made in event of the inauguration of the structural and functional officials of the Secretariat General DPR RI. Data collection was conducted at the Secretariat General DPR RI, which is located at Jenderal Gatot Subroto Street Senayan, Center of Jakarta for 45 days. Protocol is a series of activities related to the rules in a state event or formal event to someone in accordance with their position and/or position in the state, government, or society. MC has a role in making rundown event and guiding the event during the inauguration. Protocoler plays a role in the implementation of the protocol function and provides assistance to high-ranking officials. The level of audience satisfaction with the performance of MC’s and protocoler’s is quite well supported by positive questionnaire results. The obstacle faced is change of rundown event, but the solution made is the MC and protocoler often coordinate with any participans involved in that event.
