Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has the potential to experience earthquakes. Regarding that potential, information of earthquakes is needed by Indonesian citizens. BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency) as a government agency has a duty to inform that information and BMKG Public Relations department is one of department who does publication of earthquakes. The purpose of this study was to explain the publication proses of earthquake information including the media it uses and intergrated obstacles. The process begins form receipt of earthquake information until serve the media to publish this information. Media in publishing information is used by public relations in directly or indirectly. Public Relations officer encounter obstacle technical and non-technical during the publication proses of earthquakes information.
