Abstract

Instagram users or Instagrammers can interact with other users as a medium of information and communication. Instagrammers often upload their activities, especially during holidays. From uploading their activities, other users can find out the behavior of Instagrammers. The purpose of the study is to identify the tourists’ characteristics and behavior when traveling in Bogor City and designing Instagram promotional media related to tourist destinations in Bogor City. The final project was carried out in March-June 2022. The method used was observation and distributing online questionnaires with random sampling technique. The characteristics of Instagrammers are divided based on gender, age, occupation, income, education, marital status, domicile, form of visit and length of visit. The types of tourism consist of nature tourism, recreation, education and culinary. Facilities often used are toilets, parking areas, places of worship, trash cans, food court areas, gazebos, photo spots and lodging. The personality typology is dominated by wanderlast tourists. The style of dress and tourist activities are in accordance with the type of tourism. The output is to create content in the form of Post Feeds, Reels and Stories on the author’s Instagram.
